A New American Political Party Called _________________

(Join us for a revolution to take back our country. First elections for this party will be in 2014.)

We will use same Constitution and Bill of Rights as were written by our forefathers and enacted in 1776.

Ideals include (limited to one typewritten page, no legal-eaze, keep it simple):

·        America will be a free-enterprise Democracy run as a Republic (representative government)

·        America will consist of the same states and protectorates as of January 1, 2009

·        States will have two Federal Senators (maximum) and one Representative (per million people—minimum o f one)

·        Districts for House will be drawn in straight lines logistically (lay of the land)--allowing for division by highways, mountains, rivers, etc.-- rather than to gain a competitive edge in elections

·        All government, business and schools will be run in English only

·        Federal and state governments will balance their budgets every four years—the key to this entire party policy*

·        Legislators (federal and state) must be “citizen legislators” with a term of no more than eight year

·        Pay rates and raises for legislators must be voted on by their constituents and consistent with balanced budget

·        Each piece of legislation will be voted on its own merit and may not be attached to another bill

·        Legislation must be posted online for 100 hours for review by the constituency prior to voting

·        Each piece of legislation must be no more than two typed pages in plain English with no reverse intention

·        The Judicial Branch must enforce, rather than create, the law, as was intended by our forefathers

·        Lobbyists will not be allowed to exist; rather, direct communication with constituents must be posted electronically for public viewing

·        Rights to religious freedom will not be impinged by the government, enforcing the intent of the forefathers

·        Rights to own guns will be protected except for anyone convicted of a felony

·        Animals nor the environment will have no rights above those of humans

·        Illegal aliens and offspring will not be eligible for any government or school services (except in the case of possible loss of life or limb); a work visa must be the first line of acceptance and will be given to the worker only and not their families; children born here will not automatically be deemed citizens

·        Local Law Enforcement will first be commanded to “protect” then “serve” their local citizens

·        Media coverage of any election will not commence any earlier than 75 days prior to an election with a minimum of 20 days between primary and general elections

·        Media must be balanced and fair in all reporting concerning any politician--enforced by existing censors

·        Hollywood, sports figures, or anyone gaining access to the microphone through monetary gains taken from the citizens, may not use any form of multimedia for denigrating any politician, thereby giving them an unfair advantage expressing their views; they may, of course, express their views in the same forums as regular citizens

·        Schools (K-12) will not be run by the government but rather by a committee of citizens, administrators, teachers, and one local legislator within the logistics deemed necessary by the number of students in the area of one high school; schools and colleges must balance their budget yearly; university professors must teach in the classroom for which they are being paid rather than using TA’s and may not teach their personal views but only the subject

·        Federal income tax will be abolished and replaced with one end-user sales tax on all products/services with no business tax; once the rate is established, it cannot be changed without two-thirds of the voting constituency*

·        Federal taxes will be distributed as follows:** (1) Build and maintain roads and trains; (2) Build and maintain our Armed Forces, VA, law enforcement and security services, i.e. SEC, FBI, ATF, Homeland Security, etc.; (3) Indian and International issues, i.e. State Dept., trade, immigration, etc.; (4) Distribute funds to States for schools and colleges; (5) FDA and Agriculture; (6) IRS; (7) NTSB; (8) NASA; (9) Wildlife, Forests, etc.; (10)  ??? (11) Distribute all other funds to States to handle all other government issues at the state and local level. *Don’t add anything the states can do, such as Education, Welfare—which will be temporary, Census. States must cooperate with each other in matters such as law enforcement and will switch with each other to do the census count to keep it honest

·        Publicly-held corporations’ shareholders will vote annually on pay and benefits of top executives

·        Labor unions must not be allowed to gain membership through coercion or public ballots 

·        Use of illegal drugs will not be tolerated at any level and will not be legalized;  we must stop drug trafficking

·        Affirmative action programs are no longer necessary and will be abolished

·        Litigation reform to limit frivolous lawsuits will be undertaken

·        Medicine will continue to be private but will find a good example to use as a model, such as Kaiser Permanente

·        The operation of the Federal government may be moved to a central location within the 48 contiguous states; the monuments in DC will be maintained from the Federal budget but DC area will be absorbed into Virginia

** Note that not all government agencies will continue to exist depending on balancing the budget.

It’s been said it takes an educated electorate for a Democracy to survive, which may be why our country is being ruined. Please seek the truth. This new party is intended to overturn the wrongs that have been inflicted on our Democracy since the 1930’s.
